I am a senior postdoctoral researcher with a background in pharmacy and over a decade of experience in academia and research in immunology, inflammation and drug discovery. My research at KU focuses on elucidating the interactions between antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), skin exosomes, and pathogenic-derived extracellular vesicles, particularly those from S. aureus and P. aeruginosa. Through this work, we aim to deepen our understanding of atopic and acute dermatitis and explore innovative alternatives to antibiotics in treating skin infections.

Furthermore, we Collaborate with a dynamic team of researchers, our investigations into the host-pathogen interplay promise significant contributions to biomedical science. By uncovering the mechanisms influencing the efficacy of AMPs and other potential therapeutics, our findings hold promise for improving patient outcomes and addressing the growing threat of antibiotic resistance.
