Susanne Kaae becomes Leader of the Social and Clinical Pharmacy group
Associate Professor Susanne Kaae takes over the lead of the Social and Clinical Pharmacy group from Sofia Kälvemark Sporrong.
Susanne Kaae has worked at the Department for 10 years, during which she focused her research around Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Policy. She is currently involved in projects aimed at improving patient communication in Danish community pharmacies, while investigating risk communication processes and appropriate use of antibiotics in South-East Europe, as well as the potential implementations of 3D printed medicines in society.
Her methodological expertise is qualitative methods, mainly field observations and interviews. Susanne Kaae is also a founding member of the WHO Collaborating Center for Research and Training in the Patient Perspective on Medicines Use.
Associate Professor Sofia Kälvemark Sporrong left her duties as a group leader on the 1st of September, moving on to become Professor of Social Pharmacy at the University of Uppsala. She will nonetheless maintain a part time employment at the Social and Clinical Pharmacy group at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Copenhagen.
