Time is a key issue for the green transition in food systems. Commonly, time is used as a backdrop for the green transition. However, if we instead pursue time as the protagonist, we are provided with new perspectives to understand how food systems can be steered in a more green direction and why transition efforts demand fundamental cultural changes of predominant perceptions of time in food systems.
